This ensures the stability in maintaining the external liquidity,
although the country should pay about $670 million of the capital
sum of its foreign debts in the second half of this year, the HNB
governor explained.
Responding to the media comments that key offices in the central
bank were taken by some staff according to criteria of political
parties, Rohatinski recalled that the First Deputy Governor and
Vice Governors are appointed by the national parliament at the
proposal of the Governor. It was so done this time. I consulted
nobody from political spheres when I proposed persons for some
offices in the Bank, Rohatinski added.
