PROFILE OF MIRKO BOLFEK - NEWLY APPOINTED HINA'S DIRECTOR

ZAGREB, July 15 (Hina) - Mirko Bolfek, whom the Croatian National Sabor on Saturday appointed director of Hina, has been professional journalists since 1969. He has been Hina's correspondent from Paris since December 1998. Bolfek has also been reporting from Brussels. Between 1969 and 1977 he worked as a reporters, show host, and editor-in-chief of the Zagreb Television. Bolfek was a correspondent for the Tanjug news agency from Brussels and Vienna, and a reporter and editor of Tanjug's news service in Zagreb until February 1991. His first journalism experience took place in 1956, when his articles were published in Rijeka's daily Novi List. Bolfek holds a degree in law, which he earned at the University of Zagreb in 1968.
