ZAGREB, July 13 (Hina) - The Croatian National Sabor's House of Representatives on Thursday evening passed amendments to three laws which are pre-conditions for Croatia's joining the World Trade Organisation (WTO). The parliament
passed amendments to the law on Value Added Tax, the financing of units of local self-government and on tariffs, removing obstacles to Croatia's joining the WTO, announced to take place on July 17. The Sabor also endorsed amendments to the law on privatisation from which, a regulation, in line with which small stockholders would gain discounts for the purchase of stocks, had been removed. The current amendments to the law on privatisation will only join the portfolio of state owned companies' stocks in Croatia's unique fund, which will be managed by the Croatian Privatisation Fund.(hina) it
