HR-POLITICS-Politika BRIEF NEWS BULLETIN IN ENGLISH NO.3687 HINA ZAGREB, 12 JULY 2000 PRESIDENT MESIC RECEIVES BULGARIAN PM KOSTOVZAGREB, July 12 (Hina) - Croatian President Stipe Mesic on Wednesday received Bulgarian Prime Minister Ivan Kostov for talks on the situation in Southeast Europe, and joint objectives and tasks of Croatia's and Bulgaria's foreign policies. Prime Minister Kostov said Bulgaria and Croatia should create a safety zone to attract foreign investors more easily, and that they had the joint obligation to reduce political risks in the region, said a statement from President Mesic's Office. Kostov said Bulgaria was very appreciative of the efforts President Mesic was making to achieve stability in the region.
