SPLIT, July 10 (Hina) - Croatian and US pilots finished a three-day joint military exercise on Monday in the Croatian coastal city of Split. During the manoeuvre, planes departed from at the United States "George Washington" ship and
flew through the air space above the central Adriatic. The exercise co-ordinator Major Miroslav Kovac on Monday told a news conference at the Divulje base that Croatian pilots had flown aboard US "seahawk" helicopters. The Croatians' abilities were highly assessed by their U.S. colleagues. Major Kovac said the exercise was an occasion for testing Croatians' capability of adjusting themselves to more demanding circumstances in more complicated joint shows in which Croatia would participate in the future as a Partnership for Peace Programme member-state.(hina) jn ms
