ZAGREB, July 4 (Hina) - The UN Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) will hold a session on 5-31 July this year in New York. Croatia will attend the session for the first time as a full member of this UN body, the Science and
Technology Ministry reported on Tuesday. Croatia has the mandate of a full member from 2000 to 2002 in the ECOSOC, which is the UN main body in the economic, social and development sectors. It includes 54 member-states elected by the UN General Assembly on a three-year-long office. Annual sessions take place alternatively in New York and Geneva. Each session commences with a summit held by ministers or other high-ranking officials from member-countries who consider current economic and social topics. The topic of this year's summit is the development and the international co-operation in the 21st century and a role of information technology in global economy. Croatia's delegation is led by
