ZAGREB, June 23 (Hina) - The Croatian Defence Ministry on Friday presented its new bulletin, the fortnightly Obrana (Defence), in the presence of Defence Minister Jozo Rados, senior military officials and foreign military envoys.
Minister Rados said Obrana was a completely new bulletin created in a new time when Croatia was attempting to adopt western standards of democracy. The former bulletin, Velebit, had been created in a different time and played a positive role, but sometimes worked against itself by interfering with political issues, the minister said. The latest issue of specialised monthly Hrvatski Vojnik (Croatian Soldier) was also presented today, alongside an interactive CD-ROM and the magazine's Internet pages, available at www.hrvatski-vojnik.hr. Editor Hrvoje Brekalo said the web pages' English version was in preparation.(hina) ha
