AMBASSADOR MASTRUKO TO RETURN TO SLOVENIA

ZAGREB, June 15 (Hina) - Croatian Foreign Minister Tonino Picula on Thursday held the announced consultation with Croatia's Ambassador to Slovenia, Ivica Mastruko, the Foreign Ministry reported. Mastruko admitted that the vocabulary and the tone of his letter to Minister Picula, which was recently published by the "Slobodna Dalmacija" daily without the Ambassador's knowledge, were not appropriate for the communication with the Foreign Ministry. Mastruko refused any possibility for exploiting the letter for political purpose. The Picula-Mastruko talks were focused also on the necessity to cut the country's diplomatic and consular net, as part of austerity measures. According to Picula's decree, Mastruko is going back to Ljubljana and later will be withdrawn to the work in the Foreign Ministry within planned replacements of Croatian diplomats.(hina) mm ms
