PRESIDENT MESIC GIVES DINNER FOR DIPLOMATIC CORPS ON BRIJUNI ISLANDS

BRIJUNI, June 13 (Hina) - Croatian President Stipe Mesic on Tuesday evening gave a dinner in Villa White on the northern Adriatic Brijuni Islands for about fifty ambassadors accredited in Croatia and their wives. The head of the diplomatic corps, Msgr. Giulio Einaudi wished Mesic a successful mandate. He expressed support to Croatia and its policy on the path toward better and prosperous life for Croatian people, and on behalf of the diplomatic corps, he presented the President with the crystal plague with the names of all of the ambassadors. "Croatia has changed its policy, Croatia has opened up to Europe and is heading towards its strategic goal, the European Union, but it also wants to cooperate people and countries of good will.
