for European Integration Ivan Jakovcic stressed that Brijuni needed to be developed and transformed into a popular spot for world's business, political, cultural and entertainment elite. Jakovcic believes that such transformation of Brijuni will directly contribute to the reputation and revival of the Croatian tourism. A public discussion on this issue called "world's Islands of Brijuni" should be opened. The European Integration Minister stressed that the residential part of the Brijuni Islands should be commercialised, however, some residential villas should be kept for the state protocol. Along with the southern Adriatic town of Dubrovnik, the Brijuni Islands should be the trademark of the Croatian tourism at world's tourist market, Jakovcic concluded.
