ZAGREB, June 8 (Hina) - Croatia and Romania have same strategic goals regarding economic and democratic development, and their good political relations should be also be transformed into economic, Croatian Prime Minister Ivica Racan
said after talks with Romanian President Emil Constantinescu Thursday. "Croatia and Romania share strategic goals, namely economic and democratic development and accelerated joining Euro-Atlantic integration", Racan told reporters after the talks. As for the joining Euro-Atlantic integration, "friendly Romania is ahead of us at the moment", Racan added. The two officials decided good political relations should be promoted in the economic field as well. Racan stressed this should be done by conducting different projects, and pointed to the example of oil pipe lines between Romania and Croatia. "Croatia and Romania share strategic goals, namely economic and

Racan mentioned cooperation between Romanian and Croatia

President Constantinescu assessed the talks with Prime Minister
Racan as objective and serious.
As of this moment, I am convinced that future cooperation will be
good, because it will be base on concrete projects, which will
contribute to the stability in the region, said the Romanian
President.
Constantinescu also stressed Romania appreciated Croatia's
progress.
When asked about a joint project of the re-establishment of the
navigability of the Danube River, Racan said Croatia was very
interested in the project, adding however, that at the moment the
Federal Republic of Yugoslavia was under sanctions.
