ZAGREB, June 5 (Hina) - Canada's Embassy in Zagreb donated CAD40,000 (about 90,000 kuna) for five non-governmental organisations in Croatia, the Embassy said in a statement on Monday. The International Canadian Demining Centre was
granted CAD10,000 for a programme training dogs for the detection of explosives. The same amount was granted the Social Development Partnership which promotes inter-regional development of Eastern Slavonia's community. Th Centre for the Education and Advising of Women was given CAD8,000 for the "Women and Democracy" project. HOMO, an association for the protection of human rights and civic freedoms, was given CAD5,000 to open legal centres in Donji Lapac and Srb. The Creative Alternatives Centre was given the same sum for a project aimed at resolving community conflicts. Canadian Ambassador Don Smith said the donations were ensured from
