ZAGREB, May 26 (Hina) - Croatia's postal trade union on Friday organised a half hour break between noon and 12.30 in postal offices throughout the country in protest at yesterday's tragedy in eastern town Vinkovci's central post
office, where a blast killed one and wounded six postal workers. "We demand that competent parties take care of our workers' security," trade union secretary Josip Pupic said after the protest. The trade union once again most strongly protests because the Vinkovci tragedy happened in spite of series of warnings about lack of security in postal offices, he asserted. Pupic believes the responsibility lies not only with the Croatian Post management but with the government as well. He says there are too many armed people in Croatia who should not even possess arms. According to the post trade union's data, the employees of most postal offices in Croatia joined in today's protest.(h
