KLANJEC, May 4 (Hina) - A ceremony marking the 100th anniversary of the birth of Croatian sculptor Antun Augustincic (1900-1979) and the 30th anniversary of the establishment of his gallery in Klanjec, northern Croatia, was held in
Klanjec on Thursday. Speaking about Augustincic's work within the Croatian Academy of Arts and Sciences (HAZU), the secretary of HAZU's visual art department Andre Mohorovicic said Augustincic's artistic expression was the pinnacle of Croatian sculpture of the twentieth century. Augustincic's work compiled the thoughts and feelings of this century and its beauty and harmony remain its permanent value, he said.
