HRT COUNCIL ADOPTS TELEVISION PROGRAMME ORIENTATION

ZAGREB, May 16 (Hina) - Croatian Radio and Television (HRT) Council on Tuesday unanimously supported the HRT's draft programme orientation for the period from April to July, as motioned by acting editor-in-chief Neda Ritz. Most part of the session was dedicated to the television coverage of parliamentary sessions. Vlaho Bogisic asserted there was no reason for why the Television, especially the Radio, would not broadcast entire sessions. Jadranka Kosor suggested that the Parliament Presidency should recommend ahead of each session what and how something should be broadcast. Most members of the Council replied the Council should decide what the Television should be broadcasting, not the Parliament. The discussion was concluded by the HRT general director Mirko Galic, who requested that a renewed rule book for parliament session coverage be prepared for the next Council session.
