ISKON INTERNET INTRODUCES VPN NETWORK FOR FIRST TIME IN CROATIA

ZAGREB, May 4 (Hina) - The Iskon Internet company on Thursday introduced its new computer network and telecommunications service -- VPN -- the Virtual Private network. Iskon Internet is the second largest Internet service provider in Croatia and the technology and possibilities of the VPN have been offered to Croatian users for the first time. The VPN enables companies to connect their geographically parted offices and employees via their private computer network using the Internet as the main infrastructure. The VPN network thus serves companies instead of the expensive telephone and modem connections between its employees, offices and clients, company representatives said in Zagreb at the Fifth Croatian Financial Forum. The value of VPN services in the world could, according to some estimates, by the year 2003 increase to US10 billion annually. The Adriatic Net Investors company from the United State
