RIJEKA, May 4 (Hina) - United States Ambassador to Croatia William Montgomery on Wednesday night prepared a reception on board the America's "USS Cape Saint George" cruiser in Rijeka's harbour. Montgomery said the visit of the US war
ship to Rijeka and Croatia was not a coincidence and was aimed at giving support to the aspirations of the new Croatian Government and its future steps, as well as its soon to be accession into the Partnership for Peace programme. The welcome to the American war ship in Rijeka is at such a level that our sailors will in the future have no problem coming to Rijeka. The problem will be sailing out of it, Montgomery said.
