CROATIA TO ATTEND NATO SEMINAR ON CIVILIAN AND MILITARY COOPERATION

ZAGREB, April 25 (Hina) - NATO and the Italian Government are organising a seminar in Florence from may 13 until 17 entitled Civilian-Military Cooperation, at which a Croatian delegation will participate, the Croatian Foreign Ministry said in a statement Tuesday. The seminar is on a list of NATO's special activities. As a transitional, temporary model, the seminar envelops all activities (seminars, education programmes, workshops and so on) envisaged for full members of the Partnership for Peace Programme. NATO Secretary-General George Robertson handed the list of activities to Croatian Prime Minister Ivica Racan during his February visit to NATO in Brussels. Croatia has an opportunity to participate in Partnership for Peace programmes although it is not a full member yet. numerous experts and NATO officials, as well as officials of the host-country will take part in the seminar.
