ZAGREB ZAGREB, April 24 (Hina) - Croatia's President Stjepan Mesic on Monday toured children's hospital in Klaiceva Street in Zagreb. Being accompanied by the hospital manager, Dr. Ivan Fattorini, Mesic visited several wards where
children who suffer from serious diseases are treated. President Mesic gave children presents on the occasion of Easter. Speaking to reporters after the visit he said he was very pleased with the organisation of this hospital that successfully functions despite a lack of money. "Anyway, public health needs more (financial) means, and it is possible to ensure if we recover the economy," Mesic told reporters. He commended benefactors for their financial backing to this hospital and the hospital staff for their dedicated work, which has created a high standards in the infirmary.
