SFOR CONFIRMS ARREST OF BOSNIAN SERB WAR CRIMES SUSPECT

SARAJEVO, April 22 (Hina) - The Stabilisation Force (SFOR) in Bosnia-Herzegovina on Saturday confirmed that its members yesterday arrested a Bosnian Serb suspected of war crimes. The war crimes suspect was identified as Dragan Nikolic, the SFOR command said in a statement issued in Sarajevo. There were no casualties in the operation and the arrestee was transported to The Hague. Dragan Nikolic, born in 1957, is suspected of crimes against humanity, violation of the laws or customs of war, and grave violations of the Geneva Convention. Nikolic was on a list of persons against whom the Hague tribunal issued a public indictment, and the last known place of his residence, published on his arrest warrant, was Vlasenica in eastern Bosnia. Participating in the operation were members of the Tuzla-based Multinational Division "North", which is under US command.(hina) rml,
