DJAKOVO ANNOUNCE PROTEST FOR TUESDAY DJAKOVO, April 21 (Hina) - Seven associations of war volunteers and victims from the eastern Croatian town of Djakovo on Friday announced a peaceful protest at which they will voice their support
for Gospic protesters and all Homeland War soldiers. Homeland War soldiers gathered in Gospic on Wednesday to protest the possibility of trial of Croatian Army members before the International Criminal Tribunal for former Yugoslavia (ICTY). The protest was held on the occasion of the arrival of ICTY experts in the town, who are investigating locations where alleged killings of Gospic Serbs took place. The Djakovo associations said they would stage the protest on Tuesday, April 25. Apart from expressing their support for Gospic protesters, the associations will also express opposition to the Declaration on Cooperation with the ICTY, adopted recently by the Croatian National Sabor.
