ZAGREB, April 19 (Hina) - The Croatian National Parliament House of Representatives on Wednesday continued its third session with a discussion on draft amendments to the Law on stimulation and compensation in agriculture and fishing.
The draft amendments suggest an increase in government support to agriculture by 80 per cent -- to about 1.7 billion kuna (around US$212 million), Agriculture and Forestry Minister Bozidar Pankretic said. By increasing government support domestic agriculture will be stimulated so it can adjust to different conditions on the market after Croatia's (expected) entry into the world Trade Organisation, Pankretic asserted.(hina) lml jn
