The ICTY investigators held a working meeting in Baske Ostrije.
The ICTY prosecution refused to confirm the work of its
investigators in Gospic, and the confirmation could not be obtained
in official bodies in Zagreb either.
We never comment on the current investigations, ICTY spokesman Paul
Risley said.
The Croatian Government Office for cooperation with the ICTY on
Sunday reported that the Croatian Government allowed the
engagement of the ICTY staff in the exhumation of an alleged mass
grave in Gospic area.
Risley welcomed the statement of the Croatian Government.
Gospic mayor Milan Kolic told a press conference Monday that the
Croatian Government should have informed local authorities of its
decision.
