ZAGREB, April 8 (Hina) - A French tour operator 'Motivaction' is resuming its charter programmes for Croatia in the beginning of April, in cooperation with the Dubrovnik-based travel agency 'Atlas. Charter flights will be organised
once a week until 4 November. French groups will spend a seven-day holiday in central Adriatic resorts and in the hotel Punta in Igrane (near Makarska). The Lille-bassed tour operator's director Bruno Rousseaux said that by 1990 Punta was at the disposal to French holiday-makers whose vacation in Croatia had been paid by their pension insurance funds. Upon the break-out of the war in Croatia, the French stopped coming to this part of Croatia's coast. In 1999 Mr. Rousseaux visited again Igrane and was amazed at the hotel. After he returned to Lille, Rousseaux carried out polls asking his
fellow citizens whether they would like to spend again holidays in
Croatia. As he received positive response, he concluded a contract
with the Punta hotel.
In France 60 travel agencies sell arrangements for that Croatian
coastal hotel.
Rousseaux hopes the French will start visiting Croatia and his
slogan is "Let Croatia induce you." According to his estimates,
this season some 2,000 people from north France will go on holiday
to Igrane.
He is planning to draft three programmes for holidays in Croatia in
2001: - cruises around islands, tours by bus and vacations at Punta
and another two hotels.
