ZAGREB, April 7 (Hina) - To create an absolutely new geo-strategic
policy concerning the flow of oil and gas within the trans-European
corridor passing through six countries (from Croatia to Russia) is
one of foundations for the future multilateral consortium
agreement which should be signed by governments of those
countries.
Croatia's Economy Minister Goranko Fizulic and his Russian
counterpart Andrey Georgievic Sapovaljanc told reporters about
this after Friday's signing of a protocol of the second session of
inter-governmental Croatian-Russian Commission for trading,
economic, scientific and technical cooperation.
Regarding conditions in which economic ties are being globalised,
the linking of oil pipelines Druzba and Adria and the construction
of the Hungarian-Croatian gas pipeline can help provide entire
Europe with these energy commodities, the Russian minister said.
The Croatian-Russian Commission supported the drafting of an
agreement on cooperation in agriculture and food-processing
industry. It suggested to the two countries' science and technology
ministries to harmonise views on a deal on scientific and
technological cooperation.
Fizulic and his guest said the cooperation between Russia and
Croatia can be furthered in the fields of power industry, ship-
building industry, construction, tourism, transportation,
agriculture, foodstuffs industry and trade.
