The Montenegrin troops will be deployed in Mazar-i-Sharif for security jobs at the local international base.
Defence Minister Boro Vucinic told the parliament that the participation in the ISAF mission enhanced the credibility of the Montenegrin army and consequently of Montenegro.
He said that the increase in the contingent was due to the deployment of four Montenegrins as instructors in the military and police academy in Kabul.
The instructors will be sent there as part of the US-Adriatic initiative to help in the training of Afghan security forces.
