ZAGREB, March 29 (Hina) - Croatian President Stipe Mesic on Wednesday signed a decision decreasing conscription for drafted soldiers at the Croatian Armed Forces by a month. Soldiers who were drafted in August or November of last year
will thus be dismissed 30 days earlier than envisaged.

Soldiers may be dismissed even earlier if they use their leave of
absence at the end of their conscription.
"The Defence Minister is committed to stipulate the manner and time
course of the application of this decision," the document reads.
The decision has taken effect on the day of signing and will not be
published in the Official Gazette.
