ZAGREB, March 26 (Hina) - After more than a decade, Croatian
animated films produced by Zagreb Film have re-entered competition
at the prestigious animated film world festival in Annecy, France.
Nicole Hewitt's "In/Dividu" and Ana Marija Vidakovic's "Kljucanje"
(Trainspotting) will be shown at the festival between June 5 and 10
in the "short film made on film print" category, Zagreb Film
reported earlier this week.#L#
The two Croatian animated films were selected by the festival's
international commission among 1092 from 53 countries.
Hewitt's seven-minute-long "In/Dividu" will also be shown at the
European Media Art Festival 2000 in Germany between May 5 and 7, and
in mid-April run in the "experiments" category at the 12th Filmfest
in Dresden.
"Kljucanje", Vidakovic's second film, was shown twice in 1999, at a
Bilbao festival and the Amiens International Film Festival.
Vidakovic, a painter, made her debut with "Prica s krova" (Story
from the Roof), a film which won her a best first animated film award
and the "Oktavijan" award for best animated film at Croatian Film
Days in Zagreb in 1997.
