PLOCE PLOCE, March 25 (Hina) - A ship carrying 1,100 tons of aluminium sailed out of the Croatian port of Ploce on Saturday towards Trieste. This is the aluminium produced in the smeltery in Mostar, southern Bosnia-Herzegovina.
According to data released by the Croatian port, the Mostar-based smeltery registered the turnover of some 230,000 tons of goods via Ploce last year. Under a new contract, this factory will import about 150,000 tons of alumina, coke and bitumen form abroad and is expected to export 40,000 tons of its products in 2000 via the Croatian port.
