CRO GOVT DISCUSSES ACCOMMODATION OF DISPLACED PERSONS IN HOTELS

ZAGREB, March 23 (Hina) - The Croatian Government at Wednesday's session discussed the issue of refugees and displaced persons accommodated in hotels and passed several conclusions. The Croatian Government Public Relations Office on Thursday reported that it was agreed that representatives of the Croatian Homeland Soldiers' Ministry, the Office for Refugees, Displaced Persons and Returnees, and representatives of hotels establish the exact number of persons for whom the accommodation would be paid from budget reserves. According to the Government's conclusions, the Finance Ministry will transfer a necessary amount, according to the bills from hotels and data of the Office for Refugees, to the Croatian Homeland Soldiers' Ministry from budget reserves. The moving of Croatian Homeland War soldiers-displaced persons and displaced persons from hotels will be carry out in a way that persons with no right to organised accommodation move out immediately, and others by June 30, 2000, the latest, in line with a motion of the Croatian Ministry of Public Works, Reconstruction, and Building and the Croatian Homeland Soldiers' Ministry.
