OSIJEK/ZAGREB, March 22 (Hina) - The Supervisory Committee of the Association of Returnees of Croatia concluded that the draft government budget had decreased funds for reconstruction by a half, which is impermissible. An urgent
meeting with Prime Minister Ivica Racan will be requested, as well as talks with parliament party benches and the attendance of representatives of the Association in the parliament at the day of voting on the budget, the Association's secretary, Branko Pek, said. "If the motioned budget is adopted -- being significantly less than needs -- we will ask the Croatian National Parliament House of Counties to veto the voting. If this does not help, the Association will organise mass protests of displaced persons and returnees across Croatia," Pek said.(hina) lml mm
