BERLIN, March 21 (Hina) - Croatia and another eight countries, in Berlin on Tuesday, signed a multilateral agreement on allowing the transit of Yugoslav refugees who are obliged to leave Germany and Switzerland, the Croatian Embassy
in Germany reported. The agreement insures the return of 170,000 refugees from the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia, currently in Germany and Switzerland, the statement read. The drafting of the agreement, which has been successfully completed after six rounds, started in January 1998. Croatian Assistant Interior Minister Miljenko Bukovac, who worked on the agreement, said that the agreement envisaged that Yugoslav citizens mostly return via Italy, Hungary, and partially via Croatia, Bosnia-Herzegovina, and Slovenia, the statement read.
