During the talks Mesic agreed that the issue of the status and

There are great possibilities for the development and expansion of
economic cooperation between Croatia and Slovenia, the two
presidents told reporters.
Mesic and Kucan assessed there was mutual interest for active
cooperation and mutual support within international organisations
and at the Stability Pact for the South-East of Europe.
During talks, the two countries' delegations agreed on a more
intense future cooperation and communication at the level of
ministries and stressed both countries would prevent the arising of
incidents along the border, thus facilitating the life of residents
of the bordering region.
Slovenia stressed it supported Croatia in its endeavours to access
European associations as soon as possible.
Croatian Foreign Minister Tonino Picula and his Slovene
counterpart Dimitrij Rupel agreed on Rupel's official visit to
Zagreb and the continuation of a constructive dialogue aimed at
reaching concrete solutions to outstanding issues between the two
countries.
The foreign ministers ordered a joint commission for determining
and marking the border to prepare a report about the job done so far,
Kucan and Mesic said in a joint statement after the talks.
