ZAGREB, March 18 (Hina) - Croatian Government officials and pensioners' representatives on Saturday agreed that a working group would be set up next week whose task is to draft a bill on the payment of pensions in arrears. The group
is expected to prepare the draft bill within one month so that in the end of April the document can be forwarded into the parliamentary procedure. Social Welfare and Labour Minister Davorko Vidovic said the wish of the new Government was to show to retirees that it was taking serious steps in the elaboration of a law which will make it possible for authorities to settle the debt toward pensioners after the latter were short-changed in income in recent years. Today we have not discussed how and when the debt should be settled, and whether new authorities should fulfil their pre-election promise is not at all in question, said the Retirees' Trade Union's Vice president
