ZAGREB, March 15 (Hina) - Ahead of a parliamentary debate on the 2000 budget, representatives of the Associations of the Unemployed of Croatia (UNH) distributed leaflets with their requests to parliamentary representatives in front of
the Sabor building in Zagreb on Wednesday. The UNH demands that all jobless persons be enabled to exercise their constitutional right to work. They believe employment should be stimulated with budgetary subsidies and that a law on investing funds from privatisation into the creation of new jobs should be adopted. Associations gathering jobless persons should participate in shaping the employment policy, the UNH believes. The UNH also requests that the time of justified unemployment be included in the years of service, as well as that the unemployed be granted health care and child allowances, free public transportation, and the right to hold shares of companies they once wor
