ZAGREB, March 10 (Hina) - Prime Minister Ivica Racan said Friday that the possibility that Mladen Naletilic Tuta be tried in Croatia was still open, but that the Hague-based International Criminal tribunal for the former Yugoslavia
(ICTY) had the final say in the matter. "Whether Tuta will go to The Hague does not depend on us, but it depends on the overall atmosphere in Croatia whether The Hague will support the Croatian Government's suggestions," Racan said after a session of the parliament's internal affairs and national security committee. Racan said Croatia was deciding on the matter indirectly, and should the "racket" about The Hague continue, positive replies are difficult to expect. He stressed that the decision for Tuta to be tries in Croatia was being obstructed by those who wish a conflict with the international war crimes tribunal.(hina) lml mm
