ZAGREB PROTEST AGAINST BLASKIC SENTENCE ZAGREB, Mar 6 (Hina) - A protest which gathered several thousand citizens in front of the United States Embassy building in Zagreb on Monday ended shortly before 5 p.m. The protest was staged
against The Hague war crimes tribunal's sentence of 45 years in prison passed against Bosnian Croat general Tihomir Blaskic. The protest was calm, and only before it ended several eggs were thrown at the embassy building. Addresses were made by the leaders of veterans' associations and several political parties, of whom most reminded that Blaskic had gone to The Hague voluntarily, and pointed out that he was sentenced unjustly.
