ZAGREB, Mar 6 (Hina) - The Croatian World Congress (HSK) on Monday protested with the United Nations and the Hague-based International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY) against "the draconian sentence the Hague
Tribunal has imposed on Tihomir Blaskic." It is obvious, the protest letter read, that this sentence as well as other sentences imposed on Croats who were tried in The Hague, is politically motivated. The sentences are aimed at vilifying the entire nation, especially Croats in Bosnia-Herzegovina. The HSK called on the authorities to reexamine their relationship with the Hague Tribunal and distance themselves from their superficial pre-electoral promises of unconditional cooperation with the Tribunal and do all they can to protect those who had protected their homes.(hina) mm rml
