ZAGREB, March 3 (Hina) - Croatian Minister Jozo Rados on Friday said he held the Hague Tribunal's sentence against General Tihomir Blaskic exceptionally harsh. The sentence is exceptionally harsh when taking into consideration the
fact that the Croatian public knows about Blaskic and his actions during the war in Bosnia-Herzegovina, Rados said at a news conference on Friday. The Hague-based International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY) on Friday sentenced Tihomir Blaskic, former commander of the central Bosnian Operative Zone, to 45 years in prison for crimes against humanity, violations of the laws or customs of war, and grave breaches of the Geneva Conventions during the Croat-Moslem war in Central Bosnia between May 1992 and January 1994.(hina) lml jn
