SARAJEVO, Feb 25 (Hina) - Representatives of 25 non-governmental organisations from the entire Bosnia-Herzegovina on Friday established an association called "The Coalition for Bosnia-Herzegovina Elections 2000." Srdjan Dizdarevic,
president of the BH Helsinki Committee, one of the initiators of the idea to establish an association for election monitoring, told reporters in Sarajevo the association was formed on the model of 'Voice 99' and 'GONG' associations from Croatia. The purpose of this is to strengthen the instruments of civil society which should secure the regularity of the upcoming election in the country. "We want to entice citizens to go to the polls but also educate them and assist in implementing election results," Dizdarevic said. He confirmed that representatives of the association would monitor the April municipal election.(hina) rml
