VUKOVAR, Feb 23 (Hina) - About 300 workers of the food processing industry, VUPIK, on Wednesday peacefully protested on the streets of the eastern Croatian town of Vukovar, demanding the payment of six late salaries. VUPIK workers
demanded the implementation of a decision of the former Government on a loan of about DM3.4 million earmarked for salaries. President of the VUPIK board Zoran Mudri told workers that the Board was doing everything in its power to pay salaries on regular basis, however, it cannot do it without the help of the Government.
