ZAGREB, Feb 21 (Hina) - Individual tourists, namely 68.9 percent, are most numerous in Croatia, this is the result of a research conducted in July, August and the first half of September of 1999 in 14 tourist destinations in five
Adriatic counties. Most numerous tourists in Croatia are families, namely 53 percent, followed by individuals with their partners, 32 percent, while the share of guests who decided to vacation alone amounts to five percent. The research should be a useful foundation for planning marketing activities which aim at achieving better quality of the Croatian tourist offer in the year 2000. As a motive of their arrival to Croatia, 90 percent of people who participated in the survey chose vacation and relaxation at the beach.
