ZAGREB, Feb 17 (Hina) - Croatia's President-elect Stipe Mesic on Thursday said names of his chief-of-staff and aides would be announced on Monday. I shall tell you names on Monday or perhaps on Sunday, Mesic said to reporters after
his meeting with Italy's Premier Massimo D'Alema. Asked whether Tomislav Karamarko, who has led Mesic's election headquarters, will be appointed as the head of the Office for National Security (UNS), Mesic answered he did not know it yet, "but it possible." He added that he would consult Croatian National Sabor President Tomcic and Premier Racan on the matter. To date, Mesic has not yet officially moved into the Presidential Palace and he is expected to do it tomorrow after the inauguration ceremony.(hina) mm ms
