ZAGREB, Feb 4 (Hina) - The Association of Workers' Unions of Croatia
(URSH) on Friday presented its draft agreement on a permanent
social dialogue between the Government, employers and unions.
The signing of the agreement would ensure social peace, which is
necessary for the recovery of the economy and for enabling the
country to overcome the current crisis, URSH president Boris Kunst
told reporters in Zagreb.
The draft, which was forwarded to Premier Ivica Racan, Labour and
Social Welfare Minister Davorko Vidovic, Economy Minister Goranko
Fizulic, union federations and employers' associations, suggests
an agreement between the Government, employers and unions in
assessing the state of the economy, methods of overcoming the
economic crisis and mutual tripartite relations.
The URSH also suggests that the Government, employers and unions
draw up a joint agreement on the current economic situation, a
consensus on a model of revision of ownership transformation and
privatisation processes and a change of the labour and social
legislation. The URSH also urged an agreement between the social
partners on a programme of public economising and on adopting a
principle of tripartite cooperation of the Government, employers
and unions.
