SARAJEVO, Jan 31 (Hina) - The Constitutional Court of Bosnia-Herzegovina on Saturday confirmed the illegality of a number of provisions of the Law on the Council of Ministers of Bosnia-Herzegovina, practically leaving the country
without a central government, Sarajevo press reported Sunday. At a closed session the Constitutional Court decided that the Bosnian Parliament had not amended the Law on the Council of Ministers by the expiry of the deadline on December 28, 1999, pursuant to earlier court decisions. The Constitutional Court holds that the entire Law has thus become a contentious issue, and as of mid-February, when the decision will be issued officially, the Council of Ministers will become an invalid body. Amendments to the Law on the Council of Ministers were not implemented because the Croat, Bosniak and Serb sides could not agree on the new organisation of this body.(hina) lml
