EC ENVOY OPENS EUROPEAN INFORMATION CENTRE IN ZAGREB

ZAGREB ZAGREB, Jan 27 (Hina) - The European Commission's special envoy to Croatia, Per Vinther, on Thursday opened a European Information Centre in Zagreb. The Centre is being opened at the same time Croatia has finally been given the green light to Europe, he said. Vinther said the Centre would give people the possibility to learn all details relative to the European Union (EU). He pointed it was being opened on the same day Croatia was forming its newly elected government which, he said, had already demonstrated its commitment to European integration. Vinther took the opportunity to welcome Croatia's new Minister for European Integration Ivan Jakovcic, who was present. "The European idea is one of the most important tasks of the new government," said Jakovcic, adding the new government's policy "will be entirely directed towards European integration."
