ZAGREB, Jan 27 (Hina) - Thursday's negotiations on the division of duties in the Croatian National Sabor's House of Representatives between members of all parties who, at the recently held parliamentary election gained mandates for
representatives, did not end successfully due to Croatian Democratic Union's (HDZ) insistence that, as a party with the greatest number of mandates, it participates in the Sabor with seven president and seven vice president seats in committees of the House of Representatives. On behalf of the Coalition six, Mato Arlovic of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) offered two vice president seats in the Lower House and five president and five vice president seats in committees to the HDZ. The negotiations were postponed until the HDZ Presidency harmonises its standpoints on the proposals of the ruling Coalition on Friday.(hina) it mm
