VOTING IN BOSNIA-HERZEGOVINA PROCEEDS WITHOUT PROBLEMS

SARAJEVO, Jan 24 (Hina) - All polling stations for the election of the president of Croatia in Bosnia-Herzegovina opened at 7AM Monday, and the voting process is conducted without problems in spite of difficulties caused by heavy snow, the Croatian Embassy in Sarajevo told Hina. "The polls were opened in all 14 towns, everything is going according to the plan, and the turnout of voters in the first hours was above expectations", said an official of the Croatian Embassy. Observers of the Organisation for Security and Cooperation (OSCE) are present at all polling stations. The Croatian Embassy in Sarajevo expects the number of voters which were to cast their ballots, to be approximately the same to the number of voters who cast their ballots at the recently held parliamentary elections, namely about 100,000 of some of 300,000 Bosnian Croats.(hina) it
