ZAGREB, Jan 8 (Hina) - The Islam faithful in Croatia on Saturday celebrated their greatest holiday, the Ramadan Bayram. In the Zagreb mosque, the morning prayer, which gathered the Muslim male faithful, was said by Zagreb imam Mevludin Aslani. During the service a message from reis-ul-ulema Mustafa Ceric was read. Ceric called on Muslims to be hard-working in order to expect well-being for themselves and their homeland. The central prayer was said by the president of the Islamic Community in Croatia, Sevko Omerbasic. The first day of the Ramadan Bayram marks the end of a 30-day fast, one of the basic obligations of the Islamic faith. Services were also held in Osijek and Rijeka.(hina) ha
