HR-ELECTIONS-Politika BRIEF NEWS BULLETIN IN ENGLISH NO. 3494 HINA ZAGREB, JANUARY 5 EC: CROATIAN CITIZENS HAVE CHOSEN CHANGE AND NEW POLICYZAGREB, Jan 5 (Hina) - In the parliamentary elections of January 3, the people of Croatia delivered a clear message: that they want change, and have chosen to enter the new millennium with new leaders and fresh policies, the European Commission said in a statement on Wednesday. The statement, issued on EC's behalf and behalf of External Relations Commissioner Chris Patten by the EC Special Envoy's Office, read that Croatian citizens have made clear that they want Croatia to take its rightful place in the family of European democracies and develop closer and more constructive relations with the European Union. "Croatia has demonstrated clearly that democratic change is possible in a region where many had doubted it. It is a message of hope and optimism for the new century, and one which will, I hope, be heard clearly throughout the regions." The sta
